HALLETT ACADEMY WILL RECEIVE RECOGNITION FROM THE COLORADO NATIONAL GUARD ON OCTOBER 20

The Colorado National Guard will visit Hallett Academy Wednesday, October 20, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.

The Colorado National Guard will recognize Hallett Academy, for the fourth consecutive year, for the school's ongoing efforts to support National Red Ribbon Week Celebration for drug abuse awareness. A National Guard helicopter will land on the school's field as part of the celebration.

National Red Ribbon week was organized in memory of Enrique Camerana, a Drug Enforcement Agent abducted and killed during an undercover drug operation. During this week, students and staff wear red ribbons to signify a unified and visible commitment to developing a healthy lifestyle free of substance abuse. The program began in 1988.

This is a stellar event that includes students, faculty, parents, members of the Denver Board of Education, city officials, Drug Enforcement Agency agents and professional athletes.

Hallett Academy is located at 2950 Jasmine Street. Please call 303-355-7359 for more information.
