TENTATIVE AGENDAS FOR BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETINGS AUGUST 5

The Denver Board of Education has several meetings set for Thursday, August 5. The meetings will be held at 900 Grant St.

During a special legislative meeting at 3:55 p.m. in the first floor board room, the board will vote on the appointment of Chip Zullinger as the new superintendent of Denver Public Schools.

At 4:00 p.m. two staff presentations are scheduled. The first involves educational program options for schools in northwest Denver. The second presentation is regarding three special education grant programs.

Following the staff presentations, the Board will adjourn to Room 706 for a closed work session to discuss personnel and negotiation issues.

The Board's first monthly public hearing for the 1999-2000 is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the first floor board room. As of Wednesday afternoon, eight speakers had signed up to discuss such issues as CDMs, food service worker representation and dual language Montessori program for the new northwest Denver elementary school.
