July 20, 1999 For Immediate Release SOUTHWEST DENVER RESIDENTS TO BE SURVEYED REGARDING LOCATION OF NEW SCHOOL; COMMUNITY MEETING SET FOR AUGUST 17 Residents of several southwest Denver neighborhoods will be surveyed beginning July 20th about the new school being considered for southwest Denver. Volunteers will ask residents for demographic information as well as opinions about the school. There are two sites being considered for the school. One site is east of Wadsworth Boulevard on South Jay Circle; the other is west of Wadsworth Boulevard, north of Belleview Avenue near South Field Street. Volunteers will be going door-to-door in neighborhoods around both school sites. Surveys will be left at homes and may be mailed back to Denver Public Schools if residents cannot be reached. The survey will end about August 2nd. A community meeting regarding the new school will be held at Henry Middle School, 3005 South Golden Way, on August 17th at 6:30 p.m. All interested community members are invited to attend.
