ODYSSEY SCHOOL WILL MOVE TO STAPLETON Information nights about the Odyssey School, a DPS charter that emphasizes experiential learning, will be held 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, and Tuesday, February 9, at the school, 6430 Martin Luther King Blvd. Applications for the 1999-2000 are being accepted; the school will hold a lottery for admission February 19. For the 1999-2000 school year Odyssey will expand instruction to kindergarten through sixth grade offering before- and after-school childcare (with plans to eventually offer instruction through eighth grade). Odyssey will also move to a new location at the former Stapleton airport site. The new building will be composed of five modular buildings attached to the Stapleton Events Center at 3090 Syracuse. The Odyssey Schoolís curriculum is built upon a school program developed through Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound and the New American School Development Corp. The school has a strong emphasis on the fine arts and links many of learning expeditions to the Denver community.
