Slavens K-8 School Receives Alliance Project Grant
Denver Public Schools announced that Slavens K-8 School will receive $10,000 in goods and services from the Alliance Project, a grant sponsored by the Scientific and Cultural Collaborative. The grant is designed to augment existing middle school curriculum with field trips and outreach from local organizations.
Slavens middle school students will experience custom outreach from organizations such as the Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities, Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Colorado Children's Chorale, Colorado Mountain Club and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Elementary students will have an opportunity to partner with the middle school and participate in the outreach as well.
