Beach Court Elementary Wins National Reading Challenge Award

Beach Court Elementary School is the recipient of the 2007 National RIF Hispanic Reading Challenge Award. This award is one of six awarded nationally. Author Angel Vigil engaged students with his wonderful story telling in an assembly for the entire school, guest readers read to library classes, and students participated in other activities during the RIF Distribution in March.

"Thank you to our students, our staff, our guest readers, and Angel Vigil for their participation in helping us to achieve this national honor," said Principal Frank Roti.

As recipients of this award, Beach Court will be receiving a medal for each student, monies for the library, and a school banner of recognition to be displayed in the school hallway.
