Colorado's New First Lady Honors McKinley-Thatcher's 5th Graders

Jeannie Ritter, Colorado's new First Lady, will be the guest speaker at McKinley-Thatcher's 5th Grade Continuation Ceremony on May 29, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Governor Bill Ritter and Jeannie Ritter have been a part of the McKinley-Thatcher neighborhood for many years and have also been long time friends and neighbors of two of the fifth grade students (twins) to be honored at the McKinley-Thatcher Continuation Ceremony.

Mrs. Ritter has been a supporter of and substitute teacher for the Denver Public Schools for many years, and the staff and students are thrilled that she will be the guest speaker at the 2007 Continuation. In addition to First Lady Ritter's address, the program will include student skits, poems, singing and a slide show of the students' primary years.

Friends and neighbors of McKinley-Thatcher's Fifth Grade Class are invited to attend this special ceremony which will be followed by a reception in the all purpose room hosted by the 4th grade parents.
