Film Festival At Denver School Of The Arts
The Video Cinema Arts Program at the Denver School of the Arts is holding a presentation of short movies created by the students on Thursday and Friday, May 24 and 25, 2007. The school is located at 7111 Montview Blvd. in Denver, CO. Both programs begin at 7 p.m. The evenings will feature high school and middle school movies. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Admission includes pizza and soda.
"The film festival shows off students creative talents," says Ed Glassman, teacher for the Video Cinema Arts department. The proceeds from this event help with the purchase of new technologies.
The Denver School of the Arts, the only comprehensive arts magnet in the Rocky Mountain region for grades 6-12, provides the opportunity for students to grow academically and to develop their artistic talents. Students audition for admittance to the school in the arts major of their choice: video cinema arts, creative writing, dance, instrumental music, stage craft & design, theater, visual arts and vocal music. The school also has a comprehensive academic program that includes a Gifted and Talented program, Internet access, AP classes, and CU Succeeds.
