Walk & Roll Wednesdays At Ellis Elementary School
Denver Public Schools and the Denver Osteopathic Foundation are partnering to promote safe walking and bicycling to school at Ellis Elementary during the month of April as a part of the Safe Routes To School Program.
Every Wednesday during the month of April, students will be encouraged to walk or bike to school if they live within one mile of the school. Parents are encouraged to walk their child to school and organize a walking school bus to ensure children's safe passage.
Prizes will be given to the students who take advantage of the warm Colorado weather and get out and stretch their legs. PTA representatives from the school, teachers and Principal Nguyen will be outside each Wednesday to welcome the students to school and hand out small gifts.
