Fairmont Dual Immersion Academy Hosts Its first Annual "Readers' Tea" On Tuesday, May 8

Students in the second grade at Fairmont Dual Immersion Academy will be hosting their first ever "Readers Tea" on May 8th at 11:00 a.m.

They will be reading work by some of their favorite authors including work by Vera B. Williams and Marc Brown, as well as reading from books in their classroom libraries. Many of our students will be reading in their second language whether it is English or Spanish, highlighting the success of our dual immersion program in literacy. A variety of teas will be served with cookies.

El "DIA" de Fairmont is a Dual Immersion Academy located in the historic Baker neighborhood. At Fairmont, students are instructed in both Spanish and English and the goal of our program is for students to be bilingual and bi-literate by fifth grade.

For more information please contact Liz TenCate, Assistant Principal, at 720-424-7637. The school is located at 520 W. 3rd Avenue, Denver.
