On April 14, 130 Teams Participated In The Denver Destination Imagination Tournament

On April 14, 130 teams participated in the Denver Destination ImagiNation tournament at George Washington High School. Teams that placed first, second or third earned the right to represent the Denver Region at the Colorado Destination ImagiNation tournament scheduled for this Saturday, April 28. 280 teams from across the state will compete at the state tournament, vying for the right to represent Colorado at Destination ImagiNation Global Finals at the University of Tennessee the end of May. The Colorado tournament will run from 7:15 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Sturm Hall, Magness Arena, Newman Center, and Ricks Center on the University of Denver campus.

The teams and their schools are:

DIrect Flight, in which teams created and build aircraft that flew into designated areas.

Elementary Level

Middle Level

CSI: DI, in which teams used color, a colorful character and a shadowy character to investigate and solve a case.

Round About Courage, in which the teams presented a story in theater-in-the-round about a heroic character.

Switching TraDItions, in which team members, at the tournament, created an improvisational performance about traditions in countries other than the United States.
