CEC Middle College Celebrates 30 Years Of Excellence On Thursday, April 26
The Career Education Center Middle College of Denver H.S. (CEC) is 30 years old this year and still going strong! The CEC will be hosting an Open House/30th Anniversary on Thursday, April 26 from 6-8 p.m. at 2650 Eliot Street. Events will celebrate the past, honor the present and share program information with future CEC part-time students interested in enrolling for the 2007-2008 school year. Festivities begin in the CEC lunchroom for all alumni, former and current staff members. Many of the past principals, staff and students will share oral histories, looking back at the early Carter-era, disco days of CEC and moving through the eighties, nineties and 2000s.
At 7:00 p.m. all career programs will be open to the public and registration forms will be available for next fall's part-time program. Student demonstrations will take place in Culinary Arts, Welding and other areas. In addition, the Construction Trades area will feature a presentation by the Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) robot, built by the MESA students for the statewide spring competition.
