International Community Festival To Be Held At Merrill Middle School On Wednesday, May 2
Please join South High School, Merrill Middle School, Cory, Ellis and University Park Elementary Schools as we celebrate our cultural diversity at the International Community Festival. This is truly a neighborhood community effort and promises to be an event that you won't want to miss!
Gather at Merrill Middle School with the drumming of O'Chi and start your journey. Take your passport and travel around the world where each continent offers a different adventure.
Some festivities include:
- School performances from South High School, Merrill Middle School, Cory, University Park, Ellis and Southmoor elementary schools!
- Storytelling featuring Renee Fajardo presenting, "Holy Mole Guacamole and other Tummy Tales"
- Cultural Dancing
- School art exhibit presenting student art, and hands-on art activities
- Learning booths featuring student research and presentations, 10,000 Villages from Cherry Creek North, and "Fruits from Around the World" presented by Whole Foods... and much more to do and see!
Collect souvenirs along the way!
Take a break for a spaghetti dinner accompanied by international desserts, $4.00/adult and $2.00/child. You'll enjoy dining to live Irish music.
Merrill Middle School is located at 1551 South Monroe Street, Denver (South Monroe St. and E. Florida Ave.)
