9Health And Safety Fair At Ellis Elementary School On Friday, April 27
How would you like to meet the Tooth fairy? Or inflate a healthy and unhealthy pig lung? Or inspect tubes of fat and sugar to learn about good nutrition. These things and more will be available at Ellis Elementary's 9Health and Safety Fair. The fair will kick off on Thursday, April 26 at 5:00 p.m. with the booths open and a free dinner and family health education program provided in conjunction with CRI, Community Resource Inc. The fair will run throughout the day on Friday April 27 as student's grade ECE through 5th move through booths.
5th grade student leaders will present at interactive booths on nutrition, dental, mental health, asthma, poison control, anti-smoking, and exercise. The Mental Health Association of Colorado will provide a presentation on "What's your mooood?" featuring a giant cow and interactive activities to discuss feelings.
The fair is open to the public on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and throughout the day on Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Families must RSVP to participate in dinner and the Thursday evening program which runs from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
