Governor Bill Ritter Visits Ellis Elementary School On Friday, March 16
On Friday, March 16, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter will visit Ellis Elementary as part of the school's spring "Reading Is Fundamental" celebration. Governor Ritter will visit classrooms to help reinforce the importance of reading and education. Ellis is a school rich in diverse cultures, and several classes have made projects or written letters to the Governor in celebration of our varying cultures, literacy, and his visit to the school.
Ellis has three RIF days each school year, when students celebrate the importance of reading and then receive a free book to take home. The school's RIF program is funded by the Crescent Reality Partnership in Texas and supported by the Ellis PTA.
Ellis is proud to welcome Governor Ritter, and we are eager to show him that we believe that Reading IS Fundamental!
At Ellis we soar towards excellence!
