Denver Public Schools Announces Appointment Of The Director For The Transportation Department

Denver Public Schools is pleased to announce effective January 1, 2007, Pauline M. Gervais has been appointed the Director of Transportation Services. She has been serving as the Interim Director since July, 2006. Pauline has over thirty years of experience and training in school bus transportation.

Pauline is the recipient of achievement awards from the Colorado Department of Education, Environmental Protection Agency, and has been recognized as one of the top ten influential women in the school bus transportation industry by School Transportation News. Pauline is a recognized expert in the field of special education transportation and serves as a tenured faculty member for the National Conference for Transporting Students with Disabilities and Preschoolers. She is also the instructor for the advanced course on Transporting Students with Disabilities at the Colorado Department of Education's Transportation Summer Workshops. In addition she has presented at local, state and national conferences and serves on various boards and associations.

Pauline Gervais was the Director of Transportation and Fleet Operations for Adams 12 Five Star Schools from 1996 until March, 2006. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

Pauline Gervais began her career in Denver Public Schools Transportation Department where she worked as a school bus driver, driver trainer, radio dispatcher, and route scheduler. We are pleased to have Pauline back with us in the District.
