Fairview Celebrates Black History Month
Fairview Elementary School will be hosting the Metropolitan State College of Denver Woodrow Wilson Noel Distinguished Professor Recipient for this year on Wednesday February 7. Recipient Callie Crossley, television and documentary producer for National Public Radio, will spend the afternoon with us talking to the children about her career path.
Ms.Claudette Sweet a local singer will be entertaining the audience and will sing a number with the children at Fairview; "This Little Light of Mine."
The second grade classroom will be performing a choral reading of "Scars of Lifetime" and sing the song "Do You Wanna Know Freedom"? Our kindergarten classroom will also be performing a small presentation on Martin Luther King Jr.
Fairview Elementary is located at 2715 W. 11th Avenue, Denver.
