DPS Statement On Announcement Of High School EXCELerator Program
Superintendent Bennet hails program as new tool to help DPS students succeed
DPS Superintendent Michael Bennet issued the following statement upon the announcement that the College Board had selected four DPS high schools for its EXCELerator program.
"I am grateful for the confidence the College Board has in our district's academic vision. In order to earn their endorsement, we had to demonstrate an ability to provide an academic environment that supports the program's emphasis on high achievement and high expectations. I know these four schools will meet that challenge and even exceed our expectations. The leadership at each one of the schools has been instrumental in obtaining this program and we are grateful for their dedication and hard work. This partnership is the result of Denver's desire to provide the best opportunities for our students across our city."
The four DPS high schools selected for the EXCELerator program are Lincoln, South, Jefferson and North.
