Tenth Annual DSA Film Festival Kicks Off On Friday December 8th

Student films in all shapes and sizes will be showcased at the Denver School of the Arts on December 8 and 9, 2006.

Video Cinema Arts director Ed Glassman, now in his tenth year at DSA, believes the festival is a ''must' on your holiday entertainment schedule. "These students are producing some spectacular work," said Glassman. "In recent years, student films shown at DSA have gone on to win awards at a number of regional and national competitions."

A variety of films, including documentaries, clay animations, computer animations and live action movies are slated for showing. The films are judged by the DSA cinema students and only the best make it into the festival.

The festival is open to the public. Students interested in learning more about this arts-based Denver Public School are encouraged to attend.

Tickets are available at the door for $10 for adults and $5 for students. This includes a pizza dinner! The festival showcase is held in the Schomp Theater, Denver School of the Arts, 7111 Montview Boulevard. The Film Festival takes place at 7 p.m. both evenings. Call 720-424-1773 for more information.
