First Annual University Park Apple Family Fun Run
University Park Elementary School - a leader within Denver Public Schools in encouraging healthy habits for children - will host a family fun run/walk fundraiser on November 18 at 10 a.m.
Pledges collected by University Park students who commit to run a mile will be used to support the school's fulltime physical education program. Our goal to raise $15,000 will ensure that the program can continue this year and next year.
Several streets in the vicinity of University Park Elementary and Observatory Park will be closed for the event between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on November 18. The race will begin on Iliff Street - in front of the school. Runners will circle Observatory Park, taking Fillmore to Evans. They will return via Milwaukee and arrive at the school grounds by running through the teacher's parking lot.
You can support us in the following ways:
- Pledge to sponsor a runner. Those who don't know a University Park student may pledge support to the Apple Campaign by coming to the school office or pledging online at:

- Run or Walk with your family. (If you don't have students enrolled at University Park, please come to the school office to register for the run.)
