Students from five Denver Public Schools are coming together for the Geography Bee on December 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Ellis Elementary.
Teams of ten fourth and fifth graders will be representing Dora Moore, Ellis, Lincoln, Lowry and University Park. Grade level teams from each school will work cooperatively to answer questions on the US, American states and cities, the continents, world geography and cultural geography.
After the Geography Bee participants will be treated to a boxed lunch from Udi's and then have a chance to play together on the beautiful Ellis playground. All children will receive a certificate and special geography prize.
We look forward to this event and would like to you to join us. Ellis Elementary is at 1651 S. Dahlia. You may call Jenny Spampinato at 720-424-7753 for more information.
More fun will follow when we have our Science Day on February 27, Brain Bowl April 17, and Math Bowl in May.
