9Health And Safety Fair At Holm Elementary

How would you like to meet the Tooth Fairy and Sammy the Sabertooth Tiger? Or inflate a healthy and unhealthy pig lung? Or inspect tubes of fat and sugar to learn about good nutrition. These things and more will be available at Holm Elementary's, 9Health and Safety Fair on Thursday, December 7. The fair will run throughout the day as student's ECE through grade 5 move through booths. An evening program will provide free family health education and dinner in conjunction with CRI, Community Resource Inc.

5th grade students will present at interactive booths on nutrition, dental, mental health, conflict resolution, asthma, poison control, anti-smoking, and exercise. Local dental students are volunteering to help families learn about good dental health and local resources. The Mental Health Association of Colorado will provide a presentation on "What's your mooood?" featuring a giant cow and interactive activities to discuss feelings. Local Optimist club members along with parents will volunteer throughout the day.

The fair is open to the public throughout the day 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and again 4:30 - 8:00 p.m., the evening program is from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Families must RSVP to participate in dinner and the evening program.
