DPS Joins Forces With Local Foundations To Create Two Future High Schools In Northeast Denver Through An Exciting Design Competition
Denver Public Schools joined forces with the Foundation for Educational Excellence and the Stapleton Foundation several months ago to begin exploring the latest in 21st century high school design in preparation for the two future high schools that will be needed for Green Valley Ranch and the Stapleton communities in the coming years, one for each community. The northeast part of Denver is one of the fastest growing areas along the Front Range.
The public is invited to come see the initial work from the nine architectural firms that are competing to be selected as the ultimate design team for each of the community's respective high schools. Five firms are competing for Green Valley Ranch and four firms for the Stapleton. These two public viewings will provide residents from Stapleton and Green Valley Ranch to become a part of the early excitement that is building about these educational facilities and the important role they can play in helping support the ever-evolving nature of teaching and learning in today's high schools.
