Denver Public Schools Seeks Parents, Teachers And Community Members For Construction Advisory Committee To Plan North High School Renovation; Apply By Friday, August 25, 2006
The Denver Board of Education is seeking parents, district employees and community members to serve on an eight- to 10-member Construction Advisory Committee that will play a major role in deciding the space utilization and functional layout of the renovation of North High School.
The committee will start meeting in mid-September 2006 and finish work in about eight weeks. Those interested in serving on the committee should send a letter of interest to the Board of Education by August 25. The letter should include:
- Applicant's name, mailing address, email address and telephone number
- The specification that applicant is requesting to serve as a member of the Construction Advisory Committee for the North High School renovation
- Whether the applicant is applying as a parent, Denver resident or district employee (if applicant is a parent, include the names of child(ren) and the names of the schools they currently attend)
- Name of the neighborhood or community organization the applicant represents, if any
- The reason why applicant believes he/she should be appointed
