Denver Public Schools, The Foundation for Educational Excellence and The Stapleton Foundation Seek Community Members For Design Competition Committee To Design New High Schools In Green Valley Ranch And Stapleton; Apply By Monday, July 24
Denver Public Schools, The Foundation for Educational Excellence and The Stapleton Foundation are seeking community members from Stapleton and Green Valley Ranch to serve on a Design Competition Committee to recommend the architects and designs for future high schools in Stapleton and Green Valley Ranch. This is a collaborative public-private partnership venture with community collaboration.
The committee will start meeting in mid-August 2006 and finish work by December 2006. There will be weekly meetings in the late afternoon and early evenings. A short trip out-of-state to view best-in-kind facilities is also anticipated. Those interested in serving on the committee should send a letter of interest to Facility Management, Denver Public Schools by Monday, July 24. The letter should include:
- Applicant's name, mailing address, email address and telephone number
- The specification that applicant is requesting to serve as a member of the Design Competition Committee for Green Valley Ranch and Stapleton High Schools
- Whether the applicant is applying as a community resident of Green Valley Ranch or Stapleton, (if applicant is a parent, include the names of child(ren) and the names of the schools they currently attend)
- Name of the neighborhood or community organization the applicant represents, if any
- The reason why applicant believes he/she should be appointed
