Honors For Two Denver School Of The Arts Students

Karl Poulson, a junior from Denver School of the Arts majoring in visual arts, has won this year's "Artistic Discovery: Congressional Arts Competition" for District One in Colorado. The contest is sponsored by the U.S. Congress and U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette. Karl's self portrait will hang in the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. along with winners from across the nation for one year.

Also, Scott Graham, a seventh-grade student at DSA has won the Denver Public Library Summer Reading poster contest. His art will be featured on posters throughout the city of Denver to promote the program. Katie Rita, a sixth grade visual art major from DSA, was a runner up in the competition.
