Two Manual Arts And Cultural Studies Students Perform In "Poetry Out Loud" Competition Tonight, April 18

Two Manual Arts and Cultural Studies High School students will represent their school in the Colorado finals of the "Poetry Out Loud" competition tonight (Tuesday, April 18) at the University of Denver. 

Juniors Margarita Villa-Cabrera and Stephanie Flores will participate in the competition; winners advance to a national competition in Washington, D.C. in mid-May.  The students were coached by ACSHS English teacher Anna Wadsworth with the assistance of Dr. Charlotte Talbert.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at Hamilton Recital Hall in the Newman Center at Iliff & University.
