Center For International Studies Celebrates 20th Anniversary With The Annual International Festival Friday, April 21

The Center for International Studies (CIS), a DPS magnet school, will host a multi-cultural experience on Friday, April 21 from 3 - 8 p.m. at West High School, 951 Elati St., in the gymnasium. Admission to this event is free.

The festival will feature international food, music, and entertainment.  All residents and community members are welcome to participate in this unique and diverse experience.

The Center for International Studies prepares students for college through a rigorous academic program with a strong international focus. Students learn a second or third language and may participate in international travel experiences. Stimulating classroom studies are intensified through activity-based learning, special international and cultural events, challenging student projects, academically-oriented service learning, and interactions with people from around the world.

Beginning in August, CIS will open in a stand-alone school at the former Baker Middle School site at 574 W. 6th Ave.  The school's telephone number is 720-423-5364. For more information on the CIS program, please visit, www.cisdenver.org.
