Hamilton Middle School Student Scientists To Compete At Science Olympiad On Saturday, March 4
Hamilton Middle School student scientists will compete in the north regional Science Olympiad on Saturday, March 4 at Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colo.
Science Olympiad is a national program that emphasizes learning in science through active, hands-on group participation. A school team of 15 prepares during the school year to compete in tournaments held at local, state and national levels. These inter-scholastic competitions consist of 23 individual and team events in each division. The events are balanced among facts, concepts, process skills and applications. The emphasis is on learning, participation, interaction and having fun.
Winners will advance to the state competition set for Saturday, April 22 at the Colorado School of Mines. The national competition is Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20 at Indiana University.
