Knight Fundamental Academy's First Annual Young Author's Tea Is Friday, March 3

The Denver community is invited to Knight Fundamental Academy's first annual first-grade tea at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 3. Parents and grandparents of the school's first graders will be listening to their children read books that students created from one of seven writing genres.

"It is such a delight to see a variety of grown-ups taking a part from the 'village' to raise a whole child," said first-grade teacher Bernadette Gilday.

A magnet school, Knight Fundamental Academy's emphasis is focused on the back-to-basics fundamental approach, a disciplined learning environment, and required, active parental involvement. Students are expected to perform at or above grade level. Daily homework assignments help improve study skills, and mandatory uniforms help students focus on the building blocks of education - reading, mathematics, research skills, grammar and composition.

Knight Fundamental Academy is located at 3245 E. Exposition Ave. The phone number is 303-722-4681.
