Knight Fundamental Academy Art Work On Display Through Tuesday, April 11 At Fergie's Frozen Custard
Students from Knight Fundamental Academy are displaying 27 pieces of assorted art work at Fergie's Frozen Custard through Tuesday, April 11.
Under the direction of art teacher Thom Padick, students in first through fifth grade will be displaying landscapes, abstract art and guided drawings.
Primary grade students are exploring color families and color harmony in their pictures of birds drawn within urban landscapes. Second, third and fourth grade students created groves of Aspen trees using pieces of corrugated cardboard and sponges rather than paint brushes. Third, fourth and fifth grade students created abstract art after viewing works by Vasily Kandinsky, who is considered to be the founder of the abstract art movement. Students explored the use of geometric shapes, overlapping planes and various types of lines for these drawn and painted images.
