Nominations Accepted Through March 10 For 3rd Annual Hispanic Education Advisory Council (HEAC) Awards To Honor Students, Educators, Parents/Guardians And Community Volunteers
Nominations are being accepted through Friday, March 10 for the 3rd Annual Hispanic Education Advisory Council (HEAC) Awards program to be held on Thursday, April 27 at the Denver School of the Arts, 7111 Montview Blvd.
Recognizing primarily students from all grade levels for their outstanding academic achievement and leadership qualities, the HEAC Awards also honor teachers, parents/guardians, paraprofessionals and community volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to Denver Public Schools students.
Nomination forms must be received by Friday, March 10 to the Office of Community Engagement, 900 Grant St., Room 710, Denver, Colo., 80203 and are available online at communityrelations.dpsk12.org or by calling Flor Amaro at 720-423-3653.
The Hispanic Education Advisory Council was organized on Sept. 10, 1969, with the mission of assuring excellence in education for Hispanic students and the community by assisting the Board of Education and the Superintendent in understanding and addressing the issues of Hispanic students. HEAC is committed to working with and serving the Hispanic community and all DPS students, in particular, Hispanic students.
