Legendary Jazz Trombonist Curtis Fuller To Work With Rishel Middle School And East High School Jazz Players Wednesday And Thursday Feb. 8 And 9

Jazz legend Curtis Fuller will work with the Rishel Middle School jazz band from 1:30 to 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 followed by a clinic for students at East High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Fuller is a legendary trombonist who has worked and recorded with great artists such as Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter, Dizzy Gillespie, Count Basie, Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. He is the only trombone soloist to appear on the recordings of John Coltrane and is the last living member of Coltrane's timeless classic on Blue Note Records, "Blue Train."
