Denver Council PTSA "Reflections" Award Winners
Denver Council PTSA held the 2006 "Reflections" award reception on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Place Middle School (7125 Cherry Creek N. Dr.). The awards were given out by Assistant Area Superintendent Janice Spearman, Colorado PTA President Teresa Williams, Southeast Area Arts Coordinator Julia Shepherd and Denver Council PTSA members Mari Dorschner and Anita Rickli. All first, second and third place winners will compete at the state level.
This year's theme was "I wonder why..." and drew entries in visual art, music composition, photography and literature.
The winners are:
- East High School. Musical Composition: Rae Reilly, First Place. Reflections Chairman: Linda Reilly.
- Hill Campus of Art and Science. Photography: Sara Rickli, First Place and Maggie Roper, Third Place. Reflections Chairman: Anita Rickli.
- Montclair School of Academics & Enrichment: Primary Photography: Alexander Myers, First Place. Reflections Chairman: Sharon Kelly.
- Park Hill K-8 School. Intermediate Photography: Carson Zweck Bronnor, First Place. Primary Literature: Paige Hartkoom, Second Place. Intermediate Literature: Christopher Rudeen, First Place. Middle Literature: Aujha L. Alexander, First Place. Primary Visual Arts: Honor Miles, Second Place. Primary Visual Arts: Lane Reimer, Third Place. Intermediate Musical Composition: Becca Wainess, Third Place. Reflections Chairman: Beth Duncan. Place Middle School. Photography: Bryan Miller, Second Place. Literature: Alexandra I.
