"Into The Woods" At South High School January 13 - 15
South High Student Theater's winter production of Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning musical "Into the Woods" will be presented in the South High School auditorium at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13 and Saturday, Jan. 14. A matinee performance is also scheduled on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. All tickets are $8 and available at the door.
"Into the Woods" is a funny and insightful look at fairy tales - and what it means to get what you wish for. The play covers favorite adventures of such fairy tale characters as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Jack and the Beanstalk but it also looks at what happens after "Happily Ever After." This production marks a wonderful achievement for the talented students in South High Student Theater. The play is the most challenging play they have tackled, both musically and in the depth of acting required. It is a powerful, beautiful production and it shows these actors at their very best.
South High School is located at 1700 E. Louisiana Ave. The school telephone number is 720-423-6000.
