Lowry Elementary School Veterans Day Assembly Is Thursday, Nov. 10; District Will Be Closed Friday, Nov. 11
Lowry Elementary will celebrate Veterans Day with a school-wide assembly on Thursday, Nov. 10 beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The Buckley Air Force Base Honor Guard and George Washington High School JROTC precision drill team will perform. All veterans, parents and friends are invited. The school will host guests from the Veterans Center at Lowry as well as veterans from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
The event will feature performances by fifth-grade students including a medley of patriotic songs and a choral reading entitled "I Am the Flag." In addition, certificates of appreciation will be given to the veterans by elementary students.

DENVER PUBLIC SCHOOLS CLOSED ON VETERANS DAY
Friday, November 11 is a district-wide holiday. All schools and offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
