9Health Fair And Community Open House At Holm Elementary School Tuesday, Nov. 8
Where can you see a tar-filled pig lung, see how much fat and sugar are in foods and learn about hand washing and dental care? Holm Elementary School is the place to be Tuesday, Nov. 8 when it hosts the 9Health Fair for all of students and parents. Fifth grade students are taking the lead in the planning, and working at over more than 10 booths in the school gym.
Other interesting topics include learning about specific body parts, how to identify feelings, how to handle bullies, and using fatal vision goggles, which simulate being under the influence of alcohol. Using parent and community volunteers, the fair will provide students with many hands-on exhibits.
The fair is open to the public and will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will also include a Community Open House with a presentation at 9:30 a.m. and tours of the school. For more information call the school at 303-751-3157. Holm Elementary School is located at 3185. S. Willow Ct.
