Thomas Jefferson And North High Schools Host "Get Magnetized" - Computer Magnet Open Houses Thursday, Dec. 1 And Dec. 8
The Computer Magnet Programs at North and Thomas Jefferson high schools invite prospective students and their families to attend the "Get Magnetized" Computer Magnet Program open houses from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at North High School on Thursday, Dec. 1 and at Thomas Jefferson High School on Thursday, Dec. 8.
"Get Magnetized" is a three part, interactive event that will include a school tour, a question and answer session and a computer workshop. Each of the three activities will be conducted by currently enrolled Computer Magnet Program students, who will demonstrate technology skills they have learned.
During the tour, participants will be introduced to some of the business partners, college partners and the program's faculty.
The question and answer session will enable participants to acquire further information about the Computer Magnet Program as well as information pertaining to customizing, maintaining and upgrading home computer system.
Workshops will also cover Creating Home Video, Managing the Internet, Upgrading your Home PC, Creating Graphics and Robotics.
Partners of the Computer Magnet Program include The Mile High Chapter of the Project Management Institute, Sun Microsystems, University of Denver, the Jared Polis Foundation, Coors, the National Academy Foundation, Atlas Colorado University, Metropolitan State College of Denver, StorageTek and Pathway.
