Ellis Elementary School Will Host Spelling Bee Tuesday, Nov. 29
At 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, students from Ellis, Lincoln, Lowry and University Park elementary schools will meet in the auditorium at Ellis Elementary School to compete in the DPS Southeast Quadrant 2005-2006 Spelling Bee.
Each school will bring 15 students from grades one through five to participate. Students have been preparing for many weeks for the opportunity to show off what they have learned. All participants will receive a certificate and special Spelling Bee pin.
This is the first of four school activities among the four schools. Lincoln Elementary School will host the geography bee on Tuesday, Feb. 7; Lowry Elementary School will host a brain quiz on Tuesday, April 18; and University Park Elementary School will host the science fair on Monday, May 1. All activities are free and open to the public.
