Pioneer Charter School Will Hold Family Literacy Night Monday, Nov. 21

From 5:30 to 7 p.m. Pioneer Charter School will hold its family literacy night for students in first through fifth grades and their parents in the cafeteria.

Parents are invited to observe the lessons that their children are learning, speak with teachers and learn about what their children experience each day. Refreshments will be served afterward.

Pioneer Charter School is an extended-year English Language Acquisition Immersion school in northeast Denver. Pioneer's instructional program is data driven. The curriculum includes: Success for All, a school-wide reading reform program; Everyday Mathematics; and Writing Alive, a multi-sensory balanced approach to writing. Special programs include: integrated arts; music; computers; physical education; challenge program; and an after-school tutorial program for students in third through sixth grades.
