Reception Today For Incoming, Outgoing Board Members From 3:30-4:30 P.M. At Administration Building, 900 Grant St.
The Board of Board of Education today will host a reception for incoming members Jill Conrad and Jeanne Kaplan, newly re-elected Board members Kevin Patterson and Michelle Moss, and outgoing Board President Les Woodward. Outgoing Board member Elaine Gantz Berman will be out of state presenting the district's teacher pay reform plan, ProComp, and will be unable to attend.
The reception is open to the public and will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the lobby of the administration building at 900 Grant St.
The reception precedes today's regular meeting for the Board, which begins at 4:30 p.m. At that meeting, newly elected and re-elected members will be sworn in and the Board will select its officers. The agenda for the 4:30 p.m. meeting also includes Superintendent Michael Bennet's presentation of "The Denver Plan," a document released yesterday that sets in motion a series of broad reforms for the district. This evening's agenda also includes the monthly public comment session, beginning at 6 p.m.
