National Author, Career Coach Carol J. Carter At South High School Monday, Nov. 14; Topic Is "Top 10 Ways To Speak To Your Kids About The Dangers Of Drugs And Alcohol"
From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14 at South High School, national author and career coach Carol J. Carter will present "Stop Parenting, Start Coaching." The session will focus on teaching parents how to speak to their children about drugs and alcohol in an open and effective way.
The free event will be held in the school auditorium and all parents are invited. It is being sponsored by the 9News "Parents are the Power Program" presented by the Daniels Fund.
Carter is founder and president of LifeBound, a Denver-based career coaching company that offers individual coaching sessions and seminars for high school students, college students and career seekers. Before starting LifeBound, Carter was publisher of Student Success and Career Development at the college level for Pearson Education for 15 years. Over the past 10 years, she has presented seminars and workshops to both faculty and students. Carter also is a prolific author and has authored or co-authored 17 titles on educational and career success.
