Slavens K-8 School, Holm Elementary School And Hamilton Middle School Closed Today - Monday, Oct. 10
Three schools will close today due to a lack of power in the wake of an overnight snowstorm.
Slavens K-8 School (3000 S. Clayton St.), Holm Elementary School (3185 S. Willow Ct.) and Hamilton Middle School (8600 E. Darmouth Ave.) will be closed today.
Students already at school will remain there until parents are notified and arrangements are made for transportation home.
Mike Langley, Executive Director of Facility Management, said the district expects that crews with Xcel Energy will be able to restore power today and that schools should re-open tomorrow.
Emily Griffith Opportunity School's Aircraft Training Center Closed Today - Monday, Oct. 10
The Emily Griffith Opportunity School Aircraft Training Center at Front Range Airport will not be open today due to the severe weather conditions.
Southwest Early College Charter School closed at 11:05 a.m. today due to weather conditions and damage from fallen tree branches.
