GED Classes For Adults Start Monday, Sept. 12 At Horace Mann Middle School
The Horace Mann Neighborhood Center will offer classes in English and Spanish starting Monday, Sept. 12 for adults who want prepare for the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) test.
The classes are free for parents of students attending Horace Mann Middle School; the cost to others is $125.
Classes are from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and also from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Child care will be offered during evening classes for children who can walk and who are potty trained.
The Horace Mann Neighborhood Center is the school's after-school program. Supported by grants, the center offers after-school student activities and parent activities such as monthly parent forums and Internet, GED and language classes.
