Gilpin K-8 School Accepts $30,000 Donation Wednesday, Sept. 7
From its recent 3rd Annual Omni Financial Charity Golf Tournament, the Omni Financial Charity Committee raised $30,000 for Gilpin K-8 School, which will accept the gift during an assembly at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7.
Students are planning "a huge thank you presentation" at the assembly, said principal Cathy Gonzales.
The school community will determine how to spend the money. Among the ideas proposed are adding a rock climbing wall to the gym and increasing after-school athletic programs for students.
