Montclair School Of Academics And Enrichment Fundraiser "Mingle For Montclair" Thursday, Sept. 29
The community of Montclair School of Academics and Enrichment will host "Mingle for Montclair" a wine tasting and silent auction at the Montclair School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29.
Each guest is asked to contribute a $15 donation at the door, which will be used for various causes such as school supplies and building a new playground.
"Mingle for Montclair is primarily a fundraiser but its other purpose is to bring together parents teachers and the community," said Sharon Kelly, Montclair School of Academics and Enrichment PTA President.
Donations collected from this year's fundraiser will also be used to support the continuation of the two academic models that were introduced to Montclair School of Academics and Enrichment this school year; the Schoolwide Enrichment Model and the Early High Strides model.
The Schoolwide Enrichment model is a blueprint for total school improvement that revolves around the principle that schools are places for talent development. The Early High Strides model is built on the premise that learning should be individualized; it is an accelerated instructional model for highly motivated students.
The implementation of these two models was made possible through the use of mill levy funds that were approved by Denver voters in 2003. Mill Levy funds aid Denver schools in the revitalization of curriculum through use of innovative educational concepts.
