Updated Board Of Education Meeting Agenda For Thursday, Aug. 18
The Board of Education will hold a work session and regular meeting on Thursday, Aug. 18. The Board also will meet in a closed session regarding the proposed merger of Denver Public Schools Retirement System and the state Public Employee Retirement Association.
Following is a review of agenda highlights:
3:30 p.m. Finance And Audit Committee, Room 706
- DPSRS-PERA proposed merger (closed - contract/negotiations/legal)
Note: this committee begins meeting at 3:00 p.m. with other agenda items. A quorum of the Board is expected at 3:30 p.m. to discuss the merger.
4 p.m. Work Session, Room 706:
- Review Board meeting agenda
- Board of Education work schedule
- Teacher staffing
- Infinite Campus Demonstration
Note: Some work session items may be discussed following the Regular Meeting.
5 p.m. Regular Meeting, First Floor Board Room:
- ProComp update report - Teacher evaluation process
- Introduction of new principals
- Revision to policy to ensure compliance with federal copyright law
- Revision to policy to clarify selection of library books and textbooks
- Revisions to include Fair Labor Standards Act changes in policies governing Payroll/Deductions/Direct Deposit/Expenses
- Revisions to policies governing student records and release of information on students to comply with state and federal rules and regulations
- Under new business, the Board will be presented with statement of revenue allocations, appropriations, commitments and expenditures for the 2004-2005 school year and a status report for the current school year
