Board Of Education Meeting Agendas For Thursday, June 2
The Board of Education will hold a work session, public comment session and regular meeting on Thursday, June 2 at the administration building, 900 Grant St. Following is a review of agenda highlights:
4 p.m. Work Session, Room 706
- The Board will review meeting agenda items
5 p.m. Regular Meeting
- Board response to the report from the Commission on Nutrition and Physical Activity
- Action on the Infinite Campus student information system contract
- Action on construction contracts for the Montbello Village Place K-8 School project and the Whiteman and Wyman elementary school renovation projects
- Architect selection for the Brown, Columbian and Edison elementary school and Skinner and Horace Mann middle school renovation projects
- Action on revitalization plans for Sabin and Gilpin elementary schools and Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School
- Action on a contract with Esceula Tlatelolco and an amendment to the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning contract
- Charter school renewal contracts for Challenges, Choices and Images Literacy and Technology Academy; Community Challenge Charter School; Denver Arts and Technology Academy; P.S. 1 Charter School; and Pioneer Charter School
- Decisions on revising Policy GCCBB, Administrative Staff Personal / Emergency / Legal / Religious Leave and repealing Policy GDCB, Support Staff Personal / Emergency / Legal / Religious Leave
6 p.m. Public Comment Session
At 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month during the school year, the Board holds public comment sessions to listen to comments about student achievement, budget policy or matters currently under consideration by the Board. Each speaker will have three minutes to speak, but groups of four or more people speaking on the same topic will have 10 minutes collectively. To sign up to speak, please call the Board office at 720-423-3210 by 5 p.m. the day before the meeting.
