Board Of Education Meeting Agenda For Thursday, June 16
The Board of Education will hold regular meeting at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 16 in the first-floor Board Room at the administration building, 900 Grant St. Note that there is no 4 p.m. work session; the regular meeting will start at 4 p.m., one hour earlier than usually scheduled.
Following is a review of agenda highlights:
- Resolution to approve ballot language for the ProComp Mill Levy on November 1, 2005
- Motion to approve land exchange and purchase with the City & County of Denver (exchange of lot adjacent to Byers with land adjacent to Ocean Journey)
- 2005-2006 school year budget
- Revitalization plan for Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School
- Proposal for an Independent Center for International Studies at the Baker Middle School building
Pending items for action in August include: conversion of Greenwood Elementary School to an ECE-8 school; changes to a policy governing copyrights and patents; changes to a policy regarding library materials and resources selection; and changes to the Student Discipline policy to ensure compliance with state law and FERPA rules, regulations and practices.
