Retired Employees To Honor 10 Students With $3,000 Scholarships; Luncheon Event Is Saturday, April 16
Ten DPS students have each been awarded a $3,000 scholarship from DPS Retired Employees' (DPSRE) Scholarship Foundation. A luncheon at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, April 16 in the Conifer Room of the Marriott Southeast (I-25 and Hampden Ave.) will honor the recipients.
This is the tenth year of this ongoing project by the DPS Retired Employees' Scholarship Foundation, which was created to benefit outstanding graduates of DPS and to demonstrate the continuing interest of DPS retirees in the school system.
The recipients, all high school seniors, are: Ava Dinges, John F. Kennedy High School; Lauren Habenicht, Denver School of the Arts; Pablo Moreno, West High School; Christopher Murphy and Amanda Nichols, East High School; Victoria Salomon, Montbello High School; Gregory Shirk and Benjamin Sprague, Thomas Jefferson High School; Jacqueline Thomas, George Washington High School; and Sarah Zachmeier-Kean, North High School.
